Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
International Movement of People Canada Consulting Inc., operating as IMP Canada (“IMP Canada”, “we”, “us”, “our”), respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, www.impcanada.ca (the “website”), why we collect it, how we use, share and protect it, and the choices and rights you have. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the federal privacy law that applies to private-sector organizations in Saskatchewan.
Who we are
IMP Canada is a recruitment and immigration services company located at 908B Central Avenue, Saskatoon, SK S7N 2G8, Canada, and a part of the Mercan Group of Companies. IMP Canada is responsible for the personal information it collects through this website.
What this policy covers
This policy covers the website and the messages you send us through it. If you become a client, we may need more information to provide the service you ask for (for example, documents for a work permit or immigration application). We will tell you what we need and why at that time.
Information we collect
Information you give us. You can use the website without telling us who you are. We only receive personal information when you choose to send it:
- Request Information / Contact form: first name, last name, company (optional), e-mail address, phone number and your message.
- Assessment form: first name, last name, e-mail address, phone number, city, province or state, country, your message and whether you are seeking residency.
- E-mail and phone: whatever you choose to tell us when you contact us directly.
Please do not include sensitive details, such as passport numbers, financial information or health information, in a website form. If we need them, we will ask for them in a more secure way.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our web server records basic technical information about each visit: your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the date and time. We use it only to keep the website working and secure (for example, to detect abuse). The website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
Cookies
The website does not set cookies to track visitors. WordPress, the system the website runs on, sets cookies only for staff who sign in to manage the website.
Our Contact page shows a map provided by Google Maps. When the map loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google’s Privacy Policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the website works without them.
How we use your information
- To answer your request and contact you about it.
- To assess your situation and provide the recruitment, immigration or assessment services you ask for.
- To keep a record of our communications with you.
- To operate, secure and fix the website.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We will only send you newsletters or promotional messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Your consent
When you send us a form or contact us, you consent to our using your information for the purposes described in this policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by contacting us (see “Contact us” below). If you withdraw it, we may no longer be able to provide a service you asked for.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers that run the website and our e-mail: our web hosting provider, RackNerd LLC, and Microsoft, whose Microsoft 365 service delivers and stores our e-mail, including the messages sent through our forms. We use them only to provide these services to us.
- Mercan Group companies, when it is needed to provide the service you ask for (for example, immigration services we provide together with Mercan Capital).
- Government authorities, when you ask us to prepare or submit an application for you (for example, to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, Employment and Social Development Canada, a provincial program or U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services).
- When the law requires it, for example to comply with a court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our clients, our company or others, including to prevent fraud.
Storage and processing outside Canada
The website, its web server records and its backups are hosted on servers in the United States. Information you send through our forms passes through these servers and is then delivered by e-mail to our Microsoft 365 mailboxes, which Microsoft may store and process in Canada, the United States or other countries. Information stored or processed outside Canada is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessed by its courts, law enforcement and national security authorities.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as long as the law requires. Web server records are deleted automatically after a limited time. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How we protect it
The website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Its server is protected by a firewall, access to it is limited to authorized people using secure sign-in, and security updates are applied regularly. Only authorized staff can read the messages you send us. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your rights
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate or incomplete, or withdraw your consent. Send your request to us in writing (see “Contact us” below). We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will respond within 30 days, as PIPEDA requires.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Links to other websites
Our website links to other websites, such as other Mercan Group companies and government websites. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them; we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

The website is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you.
